Prakruthi Welcomes its new members

Prakruthi, The Environmental club of Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering has seen a tremendous response from the young students of the college. During its first phase of registrations, the club has witnessed a whooping total of 224 registrations. Prakruthi club is quite overwhelmed with such response and we are now a bit more motivated.
We welcome all the student members on board. Let’s work together and do our part to protect our environment.

Prakruthi- The Enviromental club of LBRCE yet with an another magnificent effort to bring in change has pioneered an another event intended this time to not only the fraternity of Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering but also to the national level representatives with stage being set up at Lakshya 2K18, The 21st National Technical and Cultural Symposium of the  Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering . Prakruthi has been associated with ITC Limited , India for this event. The representatives from the ITC Limited trained few of our handpicked, best at job volunteers in creating the awareness on  reusing the household by products. With this motivation and guidance Prakruthi organised a competition which encourages students of LBRCE to create a useful yet attractive state of art crafts. The Environmental club “Prakruthi- The Environmental Club of LBRCE” has taken its birth on 18th June of 2018 with its goal to increase and promote awareness of environmental issues such as protection, conservation, preservation, restoration and help students and staff to adopt and adapt the idea and philosophy of sustainable development into their daily lives at college and out of it with an emphasis on educating and empowering them.       The main objective of the club is to develop LBRC’eans with a strong commitment to improve the environment in our community. We are committed for the improvement of the environment through activities such as planting trees, teaching effective methods of replacing daily used products with eco-friendly counter parts, teaching recycling. Beat Plastic Pollution, An Expert Talk organised by Prakruthi in association with IEEE LBRCE

 The Prakruthi, The environmental club of LBRCE and IEEE LBRCE of the institute jointly organised an Expert talk on “Beat Plastic Pollution” by Sri. V.Kiran Kumar , Director & Head, CIPET & Centre for Skilling and Technical Support(CSTS)-Vijayawada, for II year B.Tech students of the institute on 18-07-2018, 2.00pm to 4.00pm, in Lotus Hall.  LBRCE IEEE Student Branch Counsellor, Dr.M.Umavani welcomed the resource persons and students. In her welcome message she said while plastic has many advantages, we have become over reliant on single-use or disposable plastic which have severe environmental consequences. Around the world, 1 million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute. Every year we use up to 5 trillion disposable plastic bags. In total, 50 per cent of the plastic we use is single use.
