Prakruthi takes a step to reduce plastic

Plastic pollution is an evil that needs to be addressed urgently. Not only is it killing environment, but the toxins could also enter our body through food and water in the form of micro plastic.
We here at prakruthi in a bid to address this issue decided to phase out plastic bags pollution from the campus in a systematic manner. In the discussions made by the student members it was decided that the cleaning should be started from the college canteen first and replacing plastic bags with paper bags was advised to be the best possible solution at our disposal. So, an initiative was taken and all the student members made paper bags with their hands with old newspapers obtained from central library of Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering.

The paper bags thus made were handed over to the canteen incharge and requested to phase out the plastic bags from canteen slowly.
